A bit about me:
I've been working in the journalism field since college and have been working in newspapers since 1988 (while still a student). After graduating, I was an Entertainment Editor for a group of weekly newspapers in Essex County, New Jersey and won five critical writing awards from the New Jersey Press Association. As a freelancer, I've written several pieces for Playboy Online, Men's Health, New Jersey Monthly, Bikini, Chance and P.O.V. I've also written an Atlantic City buzz column for Casino Player magazine. Currently, I write a monthly column for Strictly Slots, the gaming industry's leading publication. In the news game, I'm currently an editor at The Star-Ledger in Newark, N.J., the 13th biggest daily paper in the country. As production editor for TICKET, the paper's weekend entertainment guide, I traffic all of the stories and coordinate the production of the entire 52-page section. I've also written an internet gossip column and news pieces of practically every kind. Comic-wise, I've been busy creating an awesome monthly comic book called "LUCKY TOWN." It's is hip, edgy new drama that follows that trials-and-tribulations of Rory McClain, a tattoo artist in Atlantic City who suffers from panic disorder. Between his combative stripper girlfriend, a disaffected best friend and a scheming boxer, Rory must teeter a thin tightrope before he falls off the edge of sanity. I have also been involved with various animation projects with animator Stephen Lewis (nothing produced, however). Pitched at WB and The Cartoon Network. |
