What can be said about the author of KAEL?. A guy named Coke Farias. He's funny, cheerful, pompous, drunk, a man of many vices, decent artist, good athlete, creative, agresive, respectful (unless you disrespect him), rock lover...yep, all of the above. He always liked to look at (not read) comics. Condorito, Mafalda, Asterix, Spiderman, Superman, Batman. Etc. He also had a TV addiction in his younger years, which has diminished as he's gotten older and TV has sucked more and more as the years went by. He watched a lot of Pipiripao (Chilean children's show), which consisted of a 7 hour block chock full of Japanese cartoons, which led hime to his first encounters with the weirdness and cookyness of Japanese culture, as well as developing more than one crush on an animated character. He also spent a lot of time on the streets where he found love, friends, enemies, fights, arguments, and everything the streets bring with them. You know, the rough stuff.
During his time in school all he learned was to hate religion (not much else, really) and everything that brings (he wonders until this day how his agnostic dad decided to put his son in a catholic school XD). The good thing was that in this establishment he took his first few steps towards creating comics. They were about his teachers, peers, the priests (he learned that some of these are valuable people and others just suck) as well as parodies on Jesus Christ, a guy he claims to have a "good relationship" with.
He lettered in alcohol, and entertained himself with a lot of drinking in the streets. Lots of pisco (Piscola, yum yum), rum, vodka, gin, lots of beer (something he still drinks today) and more than a few joints (something he still partakes with XD). Eventually the drinking caught up to him and his hyperactive brain (sucks to see red frogs with a headache) so he quit drinking the strong stuff in favor of his liver, which was rapidly turning into hamburger meat.
He also started studying the art of comic book creation in his beloved yet hated native country. His first teacher was the great Roberto "Califa" Alfaro. He then traveled to the united states and spent some time at the Joe Kubert School, where he earned the love and praise of many of his classmates. He was also christened with nicknames such as The Chilean badass and Chiligan, his current nickname. He then came back to Chile and started a small company with someone who turned out to be pretty despicable, but that's not reallhy worth talking about. Let's just hope he burns in hell XD.

Among his comic book tastes today are European comics, a few manga (as well as anime, of course) and more than a couple alternative comics from the states (no superheroes, thanks). He used to love Chilean comics, but as fate would have it, he eventually ran out of toilet paper (he'd rather use sandpaper to wipe himself instead of those crappy comics). Music is also a huge inspiration. Genres ranging from metal to classic rock, and a little bit of jazz as of late. He also enjoys drinking the occasional beer (or joint smoking) at a dive bar, sitting next to his lady and letting all sorts of cool ideas come to him.

Today he teaches drawing to kids whose age ranges from 7 to 14 in a bunch of different places of his disgusting and contaminated Santiago, where he tries to inculcate the love for drawing and reading, as well as developing the necessary tools to be creative and a good person.

He thinks this: The problem of a creative person is that they're always creating, wherever he may be. Walking, running, at parties, during sex, in class, anywhere. The creative person is always trying to create and combine this with drawing, narration and the development of a story which may have a script or not. This is a complicated process which often leads to crazy extremes.
He thinks this story was created thanks to the influence of the Dragon Ball series, all the way back in 1997. He imagined it and started creating it. The first designs came in 1999 and today, thanks to the internet he's able to bring it to you the reader the way it's meant to be read, in a more direct fashion and deprived of any kind of censorship.
Today Chiligan sits on the 30th police department of the city of Santiago, due to his repeated infringement of alcohol law.
He hopes this comic i loved by as many people as possible. If you don't like it, that's cool, just don't read it.
