When not dealing with any number of other attention-grabbing activities, Erik Burnham is a writer and artist, creator of the Nick Landime feature which ran in several issues of the Shooting Star Comics Anthology (as well as in its own one-shot in 2005.) Nick will appear in the 2008 miniseries WAR OF THE INDEPENDENTS (I'm giddy to be included.) Check out Dave Ryan's Red Anvil Comics profile for more! Erik also created the on-again/off-again comic strip The Down Side, a bizarre comedy featuring the residents of Ravenstooth Apartments. It is set to go 'on-again' via one (possibly two) collections in 2008, and only bad luck, apathy, or the Hand of God can derail it now. (You're not crazy, it DID used to say '2007.' But then, the Hand of God derailed it!) But wait, there's more!Amongst other things (such as amateur filmmaking and running from bears) Erik has recently found himself working feverishly on several projects, both paid and non, as well as seeing to a heaping helping of the ol' Parker luck. Nick Landime in: Hawaiian Nick
This 8 pager ran in the sixth (and final) issue of the Shooting Star Comics Anthology. It's also my favorite Nick story to date (though I can still find things I wished I'd done better if I look.) Enjoy.

I'm glad to BE a part of War of the Independents, even though Nick Landime may only fill out a crowd scene... still!
(We can't forget the crossover tie-in in the works with Nick, Fishnet Angel, Phantom Jack, and Cyberfrog! Heh!)
