About time I got something more respectable up here. My name is Nick Mockoviak. I am an aspiring artist in all regards. Currently I am working on attaining my BA and certification in Art Education K-12. My other passion is illustration/cartooning. Ever since I was 8 years old, I wanted to be the next Jim Davis. Then at 16, I wanted to be the next Pushead. Now, I want to be me, with nods and odes to all my favorite artists. Some of them are: Frank Cho Jim Davis Pushead Terry Dodson Adam Hughes John Romita Sr. John Romita Jr. Bruce Timm Art Adams Eric Powell Ryan Ottley Bill Watterson Al Williamson Basil Wolverton I also am the creator of a fledging comic strip "The Wasteland" (name due to change). Mostly it is a irrevelant look at life, plus some pop culture references. It has been inactive since 2006, but plans are in the works to revamp it. I swear. I'm mad you said you have crappy drawings. LOL. You'll get a great response to sketchbooks, especially if you're selling them at conventions. What cons are you hitting up this year, by the way?

Thanks for the support. When I get them published (at least 6 months)-I'll hold off a copy for ya. :D
Sdaly, I'm not going to be at any cons, at least as an artist. My school schedule and work have cut into that. I might make it to WW Philly and/or Baltimore. Hopefully one of them, and maybe some small local cons here in NJ.
