Many moons ago I did a substantial number of Q&As with creators for http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com --then I disappeared.

I've been lurking around, and now I've decided to try doing Q&As again--still with SBC. I doubt I'll be as intense (in Q&A production) as I was the last go-around.

I've been reading comics since 1977. I've read a great deal and bought a load of things that I can't believe I did. Fortunately, I still stumble across enough to keep me interested.

What kind of fan am I? I still hold out hope that Karl Kesel will write the FF on a monthly basis someday.

A note about the cropped photo above. I cropped out that my son and I had live parrots on our shoulders. No really.

Nice to see a familar name here, no pun intended :) Anyway, I hope I have the time to make a go and learn about the area here.

Andy:

It's good to see that Marvel has such a presence on comicspace (and to meet you as well). I look forward to chatting with you in the near term too.

Thanks very much, when a writer like yourself who has been part of, and/or read, as many interviews as you have--enjoy the piece, that makes me feel like I'm doing my job right.

Thanks for reading and commenting,
Tim

"The interview you and I did a few years back still strikes a chord with me. It may have been because of such lines as "I think myths, folktales and religion are great sources to pillage for fiction booty...""

Tim,

I loved doing that interview with you, not only was it fun, but man did it stir up a little snit twister.
There was one bit of correspondence that I don't think I ever forwarded to you. It was an enraged email from an established comic book artist, who was furious that I used "folktales and religion" in the same sentence, as if to imply that religion was as dismissable as folktales. I think my response was: "I didn't mention a specific religion." I pretty much got an two word "F&%k you!" email as a response.
If you ever want to do another interview let me know. I promise I'll cause less trouble this time. With me, I guess that's like a politician promising to lower taxes.
Keep up the great work.

PS Has anyone heard if the features on this website have an ETA for becoming functional? I think this is a great idea and would hate for people to just give up on it.

Best,

Chris

Chris:

These days, I prefer when an interview elicits some sort of response. So be sure to drop me a line when your next project is close to release. Cause as much trouble as you want, as far as I'm concerned.

As for your PS question, I think comicspace is getting hit with a slew of requests. If you go to the front page, they are doing a fairly good job of explaining where they are at in terms of implementing aspects.

Thanks for swinging by here,
Tim

Oh, yay! Thanks for adding me, Tim! And, again, thanks for being one of the sparks in leading to my conversation with John Ostrander!

Steve:

Sorry that we've lost touch sir. But hopefully, comicspace we'll help us catch up as our respective busy schedules permit. I'm doing well. As we speak, my son and I are watching some choice episodes from season 1 of Justice League (even though he seems partial to Justice League Unlimited). He's seven now and it's hilarious to watch cartoons with him. ("Dad, nothing can hurt Superman except for Kryptonite!") I'm so proud... :)

How are you?

Well, if it isn't the artist formerly known as "TCR" Tim!

Glad to hear you're coming back to the interview game, the world of comics is a better place with your enthusiastic approach to the medium we're all addicted to in one form or another.

I found you a day or soon after I joined comicspace and friggin somehow thought I already sought you as a "friend". Then today I realized my horrific oversight. I'm so glad to find you online here, man. I'll need to see if Doug is at comicspace. Thanks for your kind words and I hope life is good for you.

The artist formerly known as "TCR" Tim (still my best name, man...)

Take care.

Wow, thats so cool. Im sure thats gonna be some interesting conversation betweent the two of you. So who all have you interviewed that was really interesting?

That'd be a hard question to answer as I've interviewed a variety of people. It'd be unfair to specify who was interesting. So I'll go for an odd reply--it's interesting that I interviewed Frank Cho, because as successful and talented as he is, I had forgotten I interviewed him at some point until I did this Google specific search. For context, let's just say the first creator I ever interviewed was Geoff Johns for a book called Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. back in the late 1990s.

Here's a sampling of links, thanks to Google:

It takes a good amount of variables to make it on my reading list and these people have it. Soon you will have it and make on my list. Anyway, thanks for the comment. Stan Lee is definately a worthy person, and has been since the 60's. But anyway, keep sending the feedback lol. SO what are you working on at the moment?

I'm not a creator, so there's nothing I'm "working" on at the moment, per se. I interview creators for SBC (link in my blurb). In the next week or so, you'll be able to read an interview I did with Jimmie Robinson, the creative force behind Image's Bomb Queen. I'll be sure to provide links to current Q&As that I do here at my comicspace page, as they go live. Thanks for the inquiry.

Yes! Trophies shall be won. And by trophies I mean that I will continue recognize my efforts after long weeks of work with bottles of appropriate beverage. Thanks, though. I hope the new year is good to you, and let me know if you plan on hitting up any shows so I can track you down.

As much as I respect Marc Nathan's efforts for this industry (and the fact that Camden Yards is so close), I hope to make the Baltimore Comicon this year, Brian. Maybe Charlotte. Time, vacation schedules and family obligations all have to weighed in, of course. Thanks for the comments and continual wit, sir. Hopefully our paths will cross in 2007.

Jason:

I look forward to seeing your Postcards story and the collaboration with Michael May. More importantly, for the love of God, how could you work while listening to Bruce Willis' Return of Bruno during your 24-hour comic. That takes the kind of fortitude very few creators have, sir. :)
Thanks for the kind words and for being a good guy in the industry.

Take care,
Tim

what up tim, I like the profile very interesting. But anyway just throwing a comment your way. Feel free to leave as many comments and messages as you want. Talk to ya later!

Glad to see you on CoimcSpace, Tim. And double so, for the recent interview. As I said via email, your questions had hit the mark that others only skimmed. In fact, I don't think I even gave the best answers. Haha!

Now... what's next for you?

JimmyKitty:

You are very kind, and in fact your email last night made my friggin day. And, trust me, as much as you appreciated my questions, I know they only worked well because of the insightful replies you provided. There's nothing worse than when you ask a potentially solid question and get a three-word reply. And you definitely gave answers of substance, for which I'm grateful.

I'm gearing up to interview Robert Venditti, the writer behind the recent Surrogates miniseries (Top Shelf) that was collected into a TPB in 2006. After that I've got some interviews lined up with Jeff Parker and Matt Fraction.

I'll be sure to drop you a note once your interview goes live and will more than likely post a link at my comicspace page.

Take care and thanks for your time/insight/talent.

Heya Tim, Looking forward to more of your Q&As. The one you did with Dave, Jenn and myself for The Lone and Level Sands was so good we used excerpts from it for the Creator Interviews section of Reader's Guide PDF we produced. A tip of Hatlo's Hat to you.

Hiya mp!

I had run across that PDF and was quite honored to see the Q&A had been of such help. The interviews are only that good when the person has great answers, so a tip of my hat to you, sir.

Thanks for the add, your kind feedback and take care,
Tim

I gotta say your icon shot looks like it should be the album cover for a British synth band. Very atmospheric. :)
Congrats on home ownership and all, man. Have a great holiday season.
